Select the ensemble to be shown here.
Hover on points in the Merge Tree to see Type, Degree, Value, Simplex and the Robustness of them.
Hovering on the critical points in each diagram marks the corresponding point in other diagrams.
Clicking on the points in the tree will change
the color of vectors with magnitude equal or less than the value. Clicking again will clear the selection.
Compare View
Add an ensemble by selecting it from the drop down menu.
To remove an ensemble click on the remove icon on the left.
Hovering on the critical points in each diagram marks the corresponding point in the other two diagrams.
To see the changes by perturbation, change the value on the slider.
General View
There are two modes here: Animation and Mean.
In the Animation mode all ensembles are shown in an animation.
In the Mean mode the average vector field and all critical points
are shown.
The Cluster mode will display the result of clustering with ε=3 and
minimum samples of 3. More information is displayed by hovering over nodes.
Cluster View
This is a clustering tool for critical points. The clustering technique is based on
DBScan
technique.
The variables of a clustering function can be set by the following sliders.
Each cluster has a distinct color. The outliers are eliminated.
Visualization in Uncertain Vector Fields
We present a visualization of ensemble vector fields.
The main idea of this work is inspired by "Robustness-based Simplification of 2D Steady and Unsteady Vector Fields"
(paper) and
"2D Vector Field Simplification Based on Robustness"
(paper).
We designed an individual view to examine each ensemble closely. In this view, flow and vector magnitude are displayed.
We also provide the Merge Tree of the ensemble.
To compare ensembles, we designed a compare view in which multiple ensembles are selected and are compared
by Merge Trees and Robustness of critical points.
